The Organizing Committee of the 6th HCMC Open University TESOL Conference invites participants to submit abstracts for our 2018 Annual Conference.
The conference provides an excellent chance for teachers, researchers, students and professionals in the field of foreign language education to share and to discuss research findings and experiences related to the teaching of foreign languages to learners of different backgrounds, levels and interests.


Language learning and teaching transformation in the post-method era ​

Guiding questions
  1. How can language teachers address the diversity of TESOL discourses?
  2. Under the impact of disrupted technologies, how can teachers facilitate language learning?
  3. Under the impact of glocalization and internationalization, how can teachers facilitate language learning?
  4. What are the appropriate instructional sequences to use due to the limited resources for language learning?

CALL FOR PAPERS GUIDELINES

LANGUAGE LEARNING AND TEACHING TRANSFORMATION IN THE POST-METHOD ERA 
Call for Papers Deadline: 15 March 2018 (Extended to 10 April for Postgraduate Students)
Abstracts should be written in English and no more than 200 words. The abstract must convey the topic's importance and relevance to the conference theme. Acceptance notification will be sent as soon as review process is over.
Selection criteria: 
All proposals will be peer reviewed based on the following criteria:
  • Importance and appropriateness of the topic to the conference
  • Clarity as indicator of session quality
  • Focus and organization
  • Purpose and participants’ outcomes

​CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS

If abstract is accepted, full paper should be sent by 7 April 2018 (or 17 April for Postgraduate Students) for consideration in conference proceedings. The full paper must be between 2,500 and 3,500 words (excluding the title, references, and appendices). 

CONFERENCE FEE​

  • Student participant:    150,000 VND
  • Teacher participant:   300,000 VND
  • Oversea participant:   30 USD
The registration fee includes Tea/Coffee and break time food plus publication of full papers in the proceedings. Every participant will receive a printed program book. Please note that if their full papers are selected (peer-reviewed), presenters should pay an extra fee of 500,000 VND for inclusion in the conference proceedings.
